Artist's Description
I have been practicing making at least one picture a day. I don't hold myself to any specific rules or guidelines, though generally the images I create are not what you would think of as images to sell. They are more like journal entries, only purely visual. I photographed this Tradescantia zebrina by my back window, casually at first, knowing that it would be my image for the day. I liked the light so much that I went on to set up a more formal photograph. Behind it, I drapped some cheap black velvet fabric I had stored away. This help hide the printer and my print finishing table which were directly behind the plant. Later that day, I processed and printed the image. It had been a while since I both made a picture andwas able to see it through to its final print in a single day.
