Daddypops is an old-school diner. Two vintage barbershop chairs bookend the stone countertop bar. An old jukebox- looks like a Select-O-Matic, sits hunched up at one end. The design of its front grill loosely matches the checkerboard pattern of the tiled floor. It's the kind of diner where the waitresses hand you an oversized, thickly laminated menu with simple options listed on both sides. This is a place of old-timer regulars, of early risers and breakfast crowd veterans. I had gone there to meet with my friend Pat to catch up, talk about life, and possible future projects. We were the last ones to leave. As we walked out the door, an anonymous hand turned the hanging sign to read "closed." It was only two in the afternoon.

"[...] sensitive, classical photography. The images seem to have been steeped in sentimentalism." I was born in Southern New Jersey on the edge of the Pine Barrens. After growing up in a somewhat rural area I decided a change of scenery was in order, so I moved to New York City where I studied photography. My professional career didn't begin until after college, where I worked photographing architecture and construction sites as well as the occasional portrait. I've always been interested in telling stories whether it's the story of a place, a person or simply describing a moment. Photography has been the best method for me to seek out and tell the stories of the world around me. I have since relocated back to New Jersey to enjoy a...
